Skinner provides positive injury update

Friday 29 March 2024 10:42

Marc Skinner has confirmed that two Manchester United Women players will be available for this weekend's clash with Everton.

Hinata Miyazawa and Leah Galton are both fit enough to be included for the squad, confirmed Marc in his press conference on Friday.

Our Japanese midfielder suffered a fractured ankle while on international duty with Japan in December, while Galton has missed two games with a thigh issue.

Hinata Miyazawa and Leah Galton are both available for our clash with the Toffees on Sunday.

"[Hinata Miyazawa and Leah Galton] will be available for the game this weekend," said the boss.

"They obviously won’t be 90 [minutes] ready, but they should be up for selection and available for the squad which is really, really positive.

Defender Jayde Riviere, however, will not be available for selection after she was forced off in last week's 3-1 loss to Manchester City.

"Jayde [Riviere] will be out," added Skinner.

"She is still having ongoing assessment with her,but she'll miss this game. I'll give you updates of courseas soon as we have a time frame, but we're just continuouslyassessing that one.

"Everybody else should be upand available for selection."
